Rather than getting upset when our kids are not behaving as we’d like, it’s time to try something different! I urge you to approach the behaviour with curiosity!
Explore beneath the behaviour… seek to understand the underlying unmet needs or emotions that drive their actions. Are they tired, hungry, angry, or feeling lonely?
Do they need more time and connection with you? Is it perhaps that they need more independence or the opportunity to build new skills? Could they be feeling scared or simply need a safe, loving space to express their emotions through crying? Misbehaviour is never the root problem! It’s a symptom—a plea for help!
By answering your child’s cry for help, you can positively impact their behaviour. Give it a go… it really is worth it ♥
